New York, 12-09-09 Serena WILLIAMS (USA) lost to Kim Clijsters (BEL) 6-4 7-5. Down 5-6 15-30 in the second set Serena Williams was serving her second serve and the lineswoman called a foot fault causing Serena to go down 15-40 and matchpoint for Clijsters. After having verbally abused the lineswoman Serena received a penalty point that made her lose set and match. At the end of the first set she had already smashed a racquet and received a warning.
